Mumbai, Feb 28 (NationPress) Actor Akshay Oberoi revealed that he has four dance numbers in the forthcoming movie “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” alongside actors Varun Dhawan and Janhavi Kapoor, as the script required.
Discussing the dance scenes, Akshay, who previously showcased his moves with actor Hrithik Roshan in the track “Sher Khul Gaye” from “Fighter”, expressed: "I’ve always found joy in dancing, but this marks my first occasion of performing in four songs within a single film."
For Akshay, collaborating with Hrithik was truly a remarkable journey.
“Dancing with Hrithik Roshan in Sher Khul Gaye was an amazing encounter, but that was merely one song. With Varun, Saniya, and Janhvi, all of whom are fantastic dancers, I now have the chance to thoroughly explore this aspect of my talent in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, and it’s such an exhilarating sensation.”
He mentioned that the script necessitated an abundance of vibrant musical numbers.
“I’ve never had the chance to participate in a role that required showcasing so much dance on the big screen—until now. I’m thrilled to see how this unfolds. I personally had a fantastic time filming these sequences.”
“Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” will feature Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in leading roles. The film will also showcase Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Abhinav Sharma, Maniesh Paul, and Manini Chadha in significant parts, among others.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie is co-produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan.
Last month, Akshay mentioned that he views his role in the upcoming romantic-comedy “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” as a significant milestone in his career, noting that it took him nearly 14 years to gain the attention of a prominent studio like Dharma Productions.
He shared, “It has taken me 14 years to capture the attention of a powerhouse like Dharma Productions, and this is a substantial personal achievement for me.”
“In our industry, films produced by Karan Johar are recognized not just for their storytelling but for their influence on the audience. Being part of a Dharma film is akin to joining a legacy—it’s a dream for any actor due to the immense visibility, reach, and respect that accompanies it.”
