Angry Villagers Demand NCP Minister's Removal Following Maharashtra Sarpanch Murder

Beed (Maharashtra), Dec 21 (NationPress) On Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and NCP President Ajit Pawar encountered a challenging situation as villagers demanded the removal of party minister Dhananjay Munde from the Cabinet.
Ajit Pawar visited Massajog in Beed district to meet the family of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, who was recently murdered in a brutal incident. The villagers shouted slogans insisting on Dhananjay Munde's expulsion from the Cabinet.
They urged Ajit Pawar to allocate time for discussing the circumstances surrounding Santosh Deshmukh's murder and the increasingly poor law and order situation in Beed district. The villagers accused Dhananjay Munde of allegedly shielding the mastermind and others connected to Santosh Deshmukh's murder.
The opposition has raised concerns about links to Walmik Karad, reported to be a close associate of Dhananjay Munde, regarding Santosh Deshmukh's murder. The villagers echoed these concerns, calling for decisive action in this matter.
During his visit, Ajit Pawar, who had to leave the Winter Session prematurely, met with Santosh Deshmukh's family and assured them that the government would take robust action against those responsible for the murder.
He informed the family that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had already initiated an investigation led by an inspector general of police into the circumstances of Santosh Deshmukh's killing, along with a judicial inquiry into the law and order situation in Beed district following the murder, which has been compounded by complaints regarding drug and land mafias and extortion.
“No one will escape justice in this case,” he promised. He also revealed plans to enhance police security in Massajog.
Ajit Pawar's visit to Massajog occurred just hours after his estranged uncle, Sharad Pawar, had met with Santosh Deshmukh's family.
Sharad Pawar vowed to remain active until the mastermind behind the murder is apprehended and expressed grave concerns regarding the worsening law and order, especially with the rising atmosphere of terror in Beed district.
