Renowned actor Anil Kapoor takes on the role of Subedaar Arjun Morya. With sparse dialogue yet profound impact, Kapoor embodies a presence that is both seasoned and quietly volatile.

The teaser introduces a gripping warning: “They f with the wrong man”, signaling that this story is not just about noise but about significant consequences. This impactful line has already resonated with audiences online, generating heightened excitement for the film.

Subedaar presents a gritty and emotionally charged drama that delves into the psychological toll of a life dedicated to military service. It follows Arjun Morya as he grapples with the challenges of a civilian world that no longer adheres to the codes of conduct he once lived by. In a recent social media post, Anil Kapoor celebrated the 42nd anniversary of his film ‘Mashaal’ with a heartfelt photo collage from the movie. He expressed, “42 years of Mashaal and the fire still burns just as strong” accompanied by a fire emoji, emphasizing that the passion for the film remains vibrant even after four decades.

Reports suggest that the role originally intended for Anil was first offered to Amitabh Bachchan and then Kamal Haasan. However, after both declined, the part found its way to Anil. Directed and produced by Yash Chopra, ‘Mashaal’ also featured Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, and Rati Agnihotri, marking a significant collaboration for Anil with Dilip Kumar. The film narrates the story of Vinod Kumar (played by Dilip Kumar), a law-abiding citizen who turns to crime seeking vengeance.

This project draws inspiration from the Marathi play ‘Ashroonchi Zhali Phule’ penned by Vasant Kanetkar. Later, it was remade in Malayalam as ‘Ithile Iniyum Varu’ starring Mammootty.
