Mumbai, Jan 9 (NationPress) The talented actor Anil Kapoor, who recently appeared in ‘Fighter’, is celebrating the 44th anniversary of ‘Hum Paanch’, a landmark film that has left an indelible mark on the Indian film industry. This remarkable film was directed by Bapu and produced under the family’s SK Films banner by Surinder Kapoor.

Anil played the role of a casting director for this project. As he reminisced about the experience, the actor shared a precious photograph from the film’s production and honored the team that made this classic a reality.

In the meantime, Anil's fans are eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming film ‘Subedaar’, which marks his inaugural collaboration with director Suresh Triveni. The first teaser for Prime Video’s highly awaited action-drama ‘Subedaar’ was unveiled last month, presenting Kapoor in a gripping and intense role.

Previously, Anil paid tribute to the legendary figure of Indian cinema, Raj Kapoor, on the occasion of his centenary. The actor took to his Instagram account, sharing a collection of images of the late filmmaker-actor while reflecting on how Raj Kapoor has been a source of inspiration for him. He also penned a heartfelt note in the caption.

He expressed, “The 14th of December, Raj Uncle’s birthday, has always held a special significance for me. I eagerly anticipated this day. The 14th of December is not just significant for my family but for the entire Indian film fraternity as a day of celebration.”

He further added, “Raj Uncle’s work has profoundly inspired me; his aura, creativity, and vision were unparalleled then, and they remain unmatched today. On his 100th birthday, I fondly recall his timeless films, the cherished moments at RK Studios, the times spent at his residence in Deonar, and the incredible legacy he has left behind. A happy 100th birthday to the ‘Greatest Showman’, Raj Kapoor. Your magic will forever be a source of wonder for me (sic).”

Anil Kapoor is part of the esteemed Kapoor lineage, as his father, Surinder Kapoor, was a cousin of the Kapoor family patriarch, Prithviraj Kapoor, who was the father of Raj Kapoor.
