Pendharkar, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC) of the Spear Corps of the Indian Army, conducted a visit to Anini and several air-maintained posts in the Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh to assess operational readiness, logistical support, and the morale of troops in the demanding high-altitude environment, as reported by an official on Monday.

Additionally, an internship program was conducted for students from the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Roing, covering topics such as power systems, construction equipment, welding, diagnostics, and repairs utilizing Special Maintenance Tools (SMTs) and Special Test Equipment (STEs), providing them with invaluable hands-on experience, as mentioned by the official.
The drone exercises on Monday followed closely after the operations conducted by the Spear Corps on Sunday, where troops validated drone-assisted Combat Medical Care in forward locations of Arunachal Pradesh, demonstrating the rapid delivery of essential medical supplies across challenging terrains.
“Critical medical supplies were successfully airlifted, proving the efficiency of drones in improving medical logistics and ensuring prompt aid to troops stationed in forward positions,” remarked the Spear Corps on X.
On the same day, the Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps of the Indian Army executed a two-day Advanced Mission Integration Training on drone operations at the Drone Training Node (DTN), located in Chandel, Manipur, as reported by an official on Sunday.
