Imphal, April 3 (NationPress) A high-ranking Army official made a visit to the Red Shield Division in Manipur on Thursday to assess its operational readiness and commend its technological advancements, as reported by officials.

A defence spokesperson announced that Spear Corps commander Lt General Abhijit S. Pendharkar visited the formation based in Manipur, where he evaluated their operational readiness and engaged in discussions on strategies to enhance overall operational efficacy.

During his visit, he recognized the division's impressive operational readiness and praised its technological innovations, highlighting the smooth integration of advanced technologies that have significantly improved operational effectiveness.

While engaging with the soldiers, Lt Gen Pendharkar lauded them for their professionalism, commitment, and exceptional morale, commending their preparedness to tackle upcoming challenges.

He also acknowledged the vital role of the division in counter-insurgency operations and the initiatives undertaken to foster peace in the eastern Assam region and Manipur.

Items such as notebooks, stationery, school bags, and learning aids were provided to assist the students in continuing their education. Additionally, critical living essentials like mattresses, bed-sheets, pillows, solar lanterns, curtains, and tarpaulins were also distributed.
