What Insights Can the Army Gain from ‘Operation Sindoor’?

Itanagar, July 25 (NationPress) The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General (Retd.) K.T. Parnaik, called upon the officers of the Indian Army on Friday to delve deeper into the study of ‘Operation Sindoor’, encouraging them to explore it from various perspectives, including operational, strategic, and humanitarian aspects.

During his interaction with the army personnel at Dinjan Military Station, the Governor highlighted that such a comprehensive understanding would not only boost their professional skills but also impart critical lessons for future operations. Lt. General Parnaik elaborated on the current global geopolitical landscape, the strategic significance of ‘Operation Sindoor’, and the essential role of the Indian Army in protecting the borders of Arunachal Pradesh while aiding in its development.

Leveraging his extensive military experience, the Governor shared valuable insights on perception management, the transformative impact of advanced technologies in modern warfare, and the necessity for operational readiness. He stressed the importance of remaining vigilant and proactively addressing potential threats from across the border.

The Governor also motivated the officers to continuously enhance and fortify their defense capabilities while being acutely aware of adversarial tactics and intentions. He praised the Indian Army's commendable initiatives in Arunachal Pradesh, particularly those aimed at engaging with students in remote border villages.

He recognized their essential contributions to advancing education and healthcare in isolated regions, often under challenging circumstances. The Governor urged the officers to maintain and expand these community-focused efforts under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’, thereby further solidifying the trust and respect between the Army and the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

Previously, Major General V.S. Deshpande, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 2 Mountain Division, welcomed the Governor and provided an overview of the Division's operational duties and the Army's extensive goodwill projects in Arunachal Pradesh under the Sadbhavana initiatives. He emphasized that these efforts are designed to foster enduring partnerships with local communities while ensuring security and development in border regions.

On the historic occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Governor paid tribute to the courageous soldiers of India who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War. He expressed hope that this significant event would continue to inspire patriotism, nationalism, and a spirit of sacrifice among all citizens.

In his message, the Governor articulated that Kargil Vijay Diwas transcends mere victory commemoration; it serves as a poignant reminder of the extraordinary valor, selfless dedication, and unwavering patriotism exhibited by our armed forces. “Against formidable challenges and harsh terrains, our soldiers stood resolute to defend our motherland, personifying the very essence of India.
