New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) General Upendra Dwivedi announced on Tuesday that the Army has mobilized its forces during Operation Sindoor and is fully prepared for ground operations should Pakistan make any errors.
The Army chief emphasized that Operation Sindoor is ongoing, and any future misadventure will be met with a strong response.
"Our vigilance remains unyielding as Operation Sindoor continues; we have taken necessary actions in advance," he stated.
He expressed confidence that by 2025, India can take pride in its security advancements, asserting that Operation Sindoor illustrates India's readiness, precision, and strategic clarity.
During the annual press conference of the Indian Army, Gen Dwivedi remarked, "We executed a significant mobilization during Operation Sindoor... We are still fully prepared for ground offensives if Pakistan makes any errors."
"The past year experienced a notable increase in armed conflicts across the globe. This global shift highlights a straightforward truth: prepared nations prevail. In this context, Operation Sindoor, India's measured and decisive response to cross-border terrorism, showcased our readiness, precision, and strategic clarity," he added.
He noted that the situation along the North-western Front is stable but requires continuous vigilance, pointing out that high-level interactions and confidence-building measures are fostering the gradual normalization of the situation, facilitating activities like grazing and hydrotherapy camps along the Northern Borders.
"With our sustained strategic focus in this area, our deployment along the Line of Actual Control is both balanced and robust. Simultaneously, capability development and infrastructure improvements are advancing through a comprehensive government approach," he mentioned.
Discussing the Western Front, Gen Dwivedi recounted India's response to the Pahalgam terror attack, stating that a decisive response was mandated at the highest level.
"Operation Sindoor was conceived and executed with precision. It commenced with 22 minutes of initiation on May 7 and unfolded over 88 hours until May 10, resetting strategic assumptions by striking deep, dismantling terror infrastructure, and challenging the long-held nuclear rhetoric," he explained.
"The Army successfully neutralized seven out of nine targets and played a crucial role in ensuring a measured response to Pakistani actions," he added.
He also acknowledged the proactive role of all national stakeholders, including CAPFs, Intelligence agencies, civic bodies, state governments, and various ministries, such as MHA, MEITY, Railways, etc.
"Operation Sindoor exemplified tri-service synergy under clear political directives and the freedom to act decisively," he concluded.
