In a post on X, CM Sarma stated, "Bharat's civilisational essence is receiving global acknowledgment. This is a proud moment for all, as The Gita and Natyashastra, the repositories of our enduring wisdom, have now been inscribed in UNESCO's Memory of the World Register."
He further noted, "This honor serves as a fitting tribute to the ancient knowledge of Bharat."
It is significant to mention that the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, a revered Hindu scripture, along with the Natyashastra, a comprehensive guide on performing arts from India, has been added to UNESCO's prestigious register.
