Guwahati, Jan 20 (NationPress) Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Tuesday that the state is taking proactive measures to equip its workforce for a future increasingly characterized by automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI). By capitalizing on its youthful demographic, the state is emphasizing skill development aligned with industry requirements.
During the second day of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, CM Sarma elaborated on how Assam is transforming its skilling framework to address the demands of cutting-edge technologies and industries prepared for the future.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister stated that Assam is "redesigning the training framework" to ensure that its workforce remains competitive amidst a swiftly changing global economy.
CM Sarma highlighted the establishment of the Assam Skill Development University and various related programs as pivotal to the state's skilling strategy.
