Mumbai, Oct 25 (NationPress) Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, currently enjoying the success of his recent film “Thamma”, has warmly welcomed actress Aneet Padda into the Maddock’s Horror Comedy Universe with the upcoming project “Shakti Shalini”. He expressed his pride, stating, “It's fantastic to see someone from Punjab making us all proud.”
Ayushmann took to his Instagram stories to share his congratulations and officially welcome “Saiyaara” star Aneet Padda to the MHCU with Shakti Shalini. The film's announcement was made during the opening credits of Thamma.
In his Instagram post, he shared the opening credits and wrote: “Welcome to the MHCU, @aneetpadda… Punjabi aa gaye oye!! From one dreamer to another - keep chasing what you want. Nothing is impossible.. so proud to see someone from Punjab making us all proud.. Can’t wait to see you shine in Shakti Shalini! Onwards and upwards Aneet.”
Regarding Thamma, which also features Nawazuddin Siddqui, the film is set in a fictional universe and includes a crossover with Varun Dhawan’s “Bhediya”.
Thamma, which revolves around vampires, follows a journalist portrayed by Ayushmann who becomes embroiled in the power dynamics between vampires played by Rashmika and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Ayushmann referred to his latest release as the “tentpole” of his career, expressing his excitement when producer Dinesh Vijan informed him of the Diwali release date, a long-held aspiration for him.
He remarked on having established a unique niche with his quirky films and eagerly anticipated the chance to showcase his brand of cinema during Diwali, “a festival that has seen the biggest of the biggest superstars release their tentpole films in.”
