Bengaluru Tragedy: 'Scatter My Ashes in Gutter if Harassers Go Free,' Says Heartbreaking Farewell Note

Bengaluru, Dec 11 (NationPress) A portion of the farewell letter penned by a 34-year-old man who tragically took his own life on December 9 contains distressing revelations, including his desire to have his ashes scattered in a gutter outside the courthouse if those who tormented him are not found guilty.
Atul Subhas, 34, employed at an automobile company, reportedly took his life following a demand of Rs 3 crore for a divorce settlement. Subhas succumbed to his despair at his apartment in the early hours of Tuesday, leaving behind a 90-minute video and a detailed 40-page death note. This note elaborated on the relentless harassment he faced from his wife, Nikita Singhania, and her family, ultimately leading him to this tragic decision.
The note expressed: "If the court concludes that the corrupt judge, my wife, and the other harassers are not guilty, then pour my ashes into a gutter outside the court. Do not perform my 'asthi visarjan' until my harassers are punished."
Despite these wishes, his family retrieved his ashes from the Bengaluru crematorium on Wednesday, intending to take them to Patna, their ancestral home, where they will be immersed in the river according to tradition.
The suicide note, titled 'Justice is Due', was addressed to his 2-year-old child, stating: "Now that I am gone, there will be no more money to exploit, and I hope they will finally scrutinize the details of the cases. One day, you will learn the true nature of your mother and her greedy family.
"I hope they do not consume you and your spirit. I often chuckle remembering that I began saving for a car for you when you go to college. Silly me. Always remember that you owe nothing to anyone. Do not place your trust in the system.
"Both society and the system aim to take advantage of you. If my lineage prevails in you, may you live, love, and fight vigorously, creating beautiful things and resolving issues with your intellect. May you live with the confidence and dignity I upheld. May you not become a socialist or communist leech, which represents the greatest form of corruption – the corruption of the soul. Farewell, my son!"
Atul Subhas also articulated his final wishes within the note.
"All my case hearings should be broadcast live, so the citizens of this country are aware of my situation and the dire condition of our legal system and the misuse of law by these women."
He requested that the suicide note and videos be accepted as his statement and evidence.
"I fear that the judge may manipulate documents, exert pressure on witnesses, and negatively influence other cases. Based on my experience, the Bengaluru courts maintain a higher level of legal adherence compared to those in Uttar Pradesh. I urge that the cases be handled in Karnataka in the interest of justice and that she remains in judicial and police custody in Bengaluru until the trial concludes," the note stated.
He continued: "Grant custody of my child to my parents, who can instill better values in him. Do not allow my wife or her family near my remains. Impose the harshest punishment on my harassers, although my faith in our legal system is minimal. If individuals like my wife are not incarcerated, they will gain further audacity and continue to file false claims against other members of society in the future.
"Awaken the judiciary and compel them to cease the harassment of my parents and brother in false accusations. There should be no negotiations, settlements, or mediations with these wicked individuals; the culprits must face justice.
"My wife (referred to as 'knife') should not be permitted to withdraw cases to evade punishment unless she explicitly admits to filing false complaints. I predict that she will now begin bringing our child to court to elicit sympathy, something she did not do previously to ensure that I could not meet my child. I request the court to reject this performance," the note added.
"Perhaps my elderly parents should formally petition for euthanasia from the courts if this harassment and extortion persist. Let us formally extinguish the lives of parents and husbands in this country, marking a dark chapter in judicial history. The narratives will no longer be controlled by the system. Times have changed," the farewell letter concluded.
He even shared a link on X, tagging his video to CEO Elon Musk and US President-elect Donald Trump.
"A deceased individual is imploring Elon Musk and Donald Trump to save millions from woke ideologies, abortion, DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), and restore freedom of speech in India. I will be dead by the time you read this. A legal genocide of men is currently unfolding in India," the suicide note stated.
