Sanjay Leela Bhansali is set to achieve a groundbreaking feat as he becomes the first Indian film director to showcase Indian cinema at the country's most esteemed ceremonial occasion.

In a remarkable collaboration, the I&B Ministry has united two of India's artistic giants, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shreya Ghoshal, for a Republic Day tableau that honors Indian cinema and storytelling.

According to a source close to the project, Shreya Ghoshal has created a unique song specifically for the tableau titled Bharat Gatha, conceptualized by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Music is a fundamental aspect of Bhansali's narrative style, and their past collaborations have consistently produced emotionally resonant moments. This time, their musical brilliance will be showcased on Kartavya Path as part of the Republic Day Parade.

Rooted in the essence of Bharat Gatha, the tableau from the I&B Ministry celebrates India's rich tradition of storytelling, intertwining music, visuals, performance, and cinema as cultural expressions that have been passed down through generations.

This will not be the first collaboration for Bhansali and Ghoshal; they have previously teamed up on numerous successful projects. Notably, it was Bhansali who introduced Ghoshal to Bollywood through his acclaimed film Devdas, where she first captivated audiences with her rendition of Bairi Piya.

Currently, Shreya Ghoshal is serving as a judge on the popular singing reality show Indian Idol, while Sanjay Leela Bhansali is preparing for the filming of his upcoming movie Love and War, featuring stars like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal.
