Patna, Dec 1 (NationPress) The inaugural session of the 18th Bihar Legislative Assembly kicked off on Monday, with Pro-tem Speaker Narendra Narayan Singh officiating the oath-taking for the newly-elected MLAs. A total of 243 members are set to take their oaths.
The first to be sworn in was Deputy Chief Minister and MLA from Tarapur, Samrat Choudhary. He was soon followed by Deputy Chief Minister and MLA from Lakhisarai, Vijay Kumar Sinha.
In a notable display of goodwill, Tejashwi Yadav stood up to greet Samrat Choudhary, shaking hands after the oath ceremony.
Following his oath, Vijay Kumar Sinha paid his respects to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by touching his feet.
