New Delhi, March 22 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu spearheaded the nation in conveying warm wishes on the celebration of Bihar Day, underscoring the state's rich historical heritage and its ongoing contributions to the growth of India. In a message shared on X, President Murmu remarked, “I extend my sincere greetings for Bihar Day to all Biharis, both within the nation and abroad. Known as the birthplace of the world's first republic and the origin of illustrious empires and profound cultural-spiritual traditions, this land has consistently enhanced India's fabric with its diverse contributions. I firmly believe that the people of this state, with their immense talent and diligence, will significantly impact the advancement of both Bihar and the entire nation. I wish the state and all its inhabitants a prosperous future.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared his greetings, accentuating Bihar's pivotal role in India's advancement. He stated, “On this Bihar Day, I convey heartfelt wishes to my family members in the state. This province, which adds grandeur and spirituality to India’s heritage, is currently busy writing new success stories. I trust that the commitment and abilities of the industrious and vibrant people here will be instrumental in achieving the dream of a developed Bihar alongside a developed India.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized Bihar’s intellectual and cultural significance. He expressed, “Renowned for its rich traditions and unique arts, Bihar has historically guided the nation towards social justice and intellectual enlightenment. From the esteemed educational traditions at Nalanda and Vikramshila to its vital role in the freedom struggle and the Emergency era, Bihar has consistently contributed to nation-building. Today, Bihar is establishing new records of progress while preserving its vast heritage and traditions. Heartfelt greetings of Bihar Day to all the sisters and brothers of Bihar.”

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also conveyed his wishes, stating, “Warm congratulations and best wishes to all Biharis on the Foundation Day of Bihar, a land blessed with rich culture, a glorious past, spirituality, and revolutionary fervor, being the birthplace of great sages and noble souls!”

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joined in the celebrations, calling for collective efforts towards progress. He stated, “Sincere congratulations and best wishes on Bihar Day. Bihar's past has been illustrious, and we are currently crafting a brilliant future for the state through our dedication. I urge all of you to join in our quest for a prosperous Bihar. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended his wishes, expressing, “Warm congratulations and best wishes to all residents on Bihar's Foundation Day, a land of revolution, rich in popular faith and cultural splendor. Under the enlightened guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the capable leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar Ji, may Bihar, progressing towards good governance, set new standards of prosperity and comprehensive development—this is my prayer to Mother Janaki and Lord Shri Ram.”

Bihar was established as a separate entity from the Bengal Presidency on March 22, 1912, marking the beginning of its unique identity.

This year, the state commemorates its 114th Foundation Day, celebrating over a century of history. Throughout this remarkable journey, Bihar has given birth to numerous notable figures who have made significant contributions across various sectors, including politics, literature, sports, and business, gaining recognition and esteem at both national and international levels.
