Assam BJP govt to focus on indigenous communities, expand Orunodoi scheme
Assam Cabinet Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah on Friday, 8 May said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Assam would continue to prioritise the development of indigenous communities and backward regions, asserting that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)'s recent electoral success reflected growing public confidence in its governance model.

Speaking to reporters in Guwahati, Mallabaruah said the people of Assam had strongly endorsed the government's development agenda, particularly its efforts to strengthen infrastructure, welfare schemes, and inclusive growth across communities and regions. He stressed that the administration remained committed to addressing the concerns of indigenous groups, including the Rabha, Bodo, and other ethnic communities living across the state.
