Kolkata, Aug 18 (NationPress) Following a threat from a Trinamool Congress leader about 'pushing back,' a BJP leader has now issued a bold statement, claiming he would forcibly send Trinamool leaders into Bangladesh after subjecting them to stinging nettle treatment.
The BJP's minority cell head, Kashem Ali, made these remarks during a party event in the Sandeshkhali area of North 24 Parganas district on Sunday evening.
Ali, affiliated with the West Bengal BJP minority cell, criticized the Trinamool Congress for allegedly providing support to Rohingyas residing illegally in the region.
He stated, "The corrupt TMC leaders believe they can escape. Before they do, we should apprehend these corrupt individuals, tie them to trees, apply stinging nettle on their bodies, and send them to Bangladesh. These TMC leaders are aiding Rohingyas. Once the Special Intensive Revision commences, I will use a bulldozer to throw them into Bangladesh via the Ghojadanga border," said Ali.
This statement came after a Trinamool leader had threatened to push BJP leaders into Bangladesh for their remarks against Bengalis and the Bengali language.
Trinamool’s Malda district president, Abdur Rahim Bakshi, expressed his sentiments during a party meeting on Sunday, asserting that he would also push BJP leaders back to Bangladesh and apologize afterwards.
“BJP leaders claim they will push Bengalis into Bangladesh. Let me assure them, I will grab your hair and push you into Bangladesh. To the BJP leaders making bold statements from Kolkata, I will kick you and send you back to Bangladesh, and then I’ll apologize, pretending I didn’t realize you are Bengalis,” Bakshi stated.
In light of Ali's comments, the Trinamool leadership has downplayed his significance.
Local Trinamool leader Abdul Waid Dhali remarked, "Kashem Ali is a leader unknown to many. His statements bear no weight. The BJP is exploiting him to create division among minorities. The mistreatment of Bengali migrant workers in BJP-governed states is something that must be condemned."
