During the official announcement event for the newly elected Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary and National Council members at the party's 'Sangathan Parv' held at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow, Goyal praised the BJP's organized membership framework and the consensus-driven election process for office-bearers, asserting it is unparalleled worldwide.
He emphasized the magnitude of the organizational effort, noting that elections occur at approximately 1.62 lakh booths and that the unanimous announcements exemplify the unity, discipline, and dedication of party members.
According to Goyal, the BJP's consistent growth—founded on the vision of Syama Prasad Mookerjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and currently steered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party President J.P. Nadda—has fortified the organization, a fact evidenced by the substantial turnout at the event.
On this occasion, Goyal officially declared Pankaj Chaudhary as the unanimously elected Uttar Pradesh BJP President.
He also revealed the names of the newly elected members of the National Council and extended his congratulations to all those elected.
A total of 120 leaders have been elected to the BJP National Council from Uttar Pradesh, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Modi represents Varanasi, while Yogi Adityanath represents Gorakhpur.
The Council also features Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya from Prayagraj, and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak from Unnao.
Other notable members include Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary (Sambhal), Smriti Irani (Sultanpur), Mahendra Nath Pandey (Varanasi), Surya Pratap Shahi (Salempur), Swatantra Dev Singh (Banda), and Ramapati Ram Tripathi (Gorakhpur).
