Patna, May 14 (NationPress) With the Bihar Assembly elections of 2025 approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its attacks on RJD chief Lalu Prasad and his son, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly, by launching a provocative video titled 'Ghotalebaz' (meaning 'scamster').
This over three-minute long video, enhanced with AI-driven visual effects, alleges that the father-son duo is deeply implicated in various scams, such as the fodder scam and the ongoing IRCTC land-for-job case.
The video, which has gained significant traction on social media, offers a satirical yet harsh critique of the RJD leadership, bringing past corruption allegations back into the limelight.
BJP leader Arvind Kumar Singh stated, "This video illustrates how Lalu Yadav has been embroiled in one scandal after another, and highlights how Tejashwi Yadav managed to amass wealth at a young age. It’s essential for the new generation to learn the truth."
In response, RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari retorted, "The BJP lacks the moral ground to discuss corruption. The double-engine government is entangled in its own web of corruption and crime. What about the Srijan scam, the Muzaffarpur shelter home case, or the bridges that collapsed during NDA's tenure?"
Tiwari accused the BJP of attempting to shift focus away from its governance failures while emphasizing that the public has not forgotten the widespread misgovernance and scandals under the National Democratic Alliance's watch.
Even with Lalu's restricted political engagement due to health and legal challenges, the momentum of the RJD is largely propelled by Tejashwi.
Meanwhile, the IRCTC land-for-job scam, originating from Lalu's time as Railway Minister, continues to be a liability for the RJD.
Numerous members of the Yadav family, including Rabri Devi, Tej Pratap, and Misa Bharti, are currently under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
As the political contest escalates, all eyes are fixed on the forthcoming campaign strategies and alliances that will shape the electoral landscape of Bihar in 2025.
