According to the Dindoshi Police Station, on February 27 at 8:46 a.m., an email was dispatched to several schools and metro stations in Mumbai, ominously warning that bombs would be detonated within two days. This message triggered an urgent alert among security forces, leading to an immediate operational response. A case was subsequently filed at the Dindoshi police station, and a thorough investigation commenced.
Through meticulous technical analysis and email tracking, law enforcement traced the email's origin to New Barrackpore in West Bengal. The investigation identified the sender as Saurav Biswas. A specialized team from the Dindoshi police was dispatched to West Bengal to detain the individual.
Further inquiry revealed that the accused had previously sent a similar threatening email to authorities in Ahmedabad on February 16. The Ahmedabad City Cyber Police had initiated a case and detained him on March 1. Following this, the Mumbai Police took him into custody.
Authorities are currently questioning the suspect to ascertain whether these threats were intended as a joke or if there exists a broader conspiracy or network involved.
