London, Nov 21 (NationPress) It has been more than 30 years since the beloved British television series The Darling Buds of May made its debut, and the thrilled actress Catherine Zeta-Jones marked this significant anniversary.

Catherine shared a collection of nostalgic moments from the comedy-drama on her Instagram, which served as her breakout performance. The show's title is derived from the third line of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18 and originally aired from April 1991 to April 1993.

In her post, she expressed, “35 years ago! The Darling Buds of May! Thank you to all of the darling buds fans.”

Set in the picturesque countryside of 1950s Kent, the series revolves around the Larkin family. It features David Jason as “Pop” Larkin and Pam Ferris as “Ma” Larkin, with Catherine portraying their eldest daughter Mariette, who weds tax inspector Cedric “Charley” Charlton, played by Philip Franks.

With a total of 20 episodes, the show was aired as three series comprising six double-episode story arcs during the springs of 1991, 1992, and 1993, along with two single-episode Christmas specials in 1991 and 1992.

On November 18, Catherine also celebrated 25 years of marriage with her husband Michael Douglas.

In a heartfelt message, she shared, “25 years ago today, I walked down the aisle. The intoxicating aroma of flowers, the glow of the candles, the resounding harmonious Welsh choir, and you at the end of the long walk waiting for me, looking at me the way only you can. I love you today as I did then. Thank you sweetheart.”

Catherine and Michael tied the knot in 2000 and are proud parents to Dylan, 24, and Carys, 21. The couple first crossed paths at the Deauville American Film Festival in France in August 1998, thanks to an introduction by Danny DeVito.

They got engaged on December 31, 1999, and exchanged vows at the Plaza Hotel in New York City on November 18, 2000, following Douglas's divorce.
