On December 26, 2023, in New Delhi, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, who also serves as the Chairperson of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), had a pivotal meeting with Indonesian Ambassador Ina H. Krisnamurthi at the headquarters of the electoral commission.
IDEA comprises 35 member nations and two observer states.
