As part of the tribute, light and sound shows illustrating the life and legacy of the ninth Sikh Guru will commence on November 4 in multiple districts throughout the state.
The minister revealed that the inaugural shows are set to take place on November 4 at 6 p.m. at Lamini Stadium (Pathankot), Guru Gobind Singh Stadium (Jalandhar), Polo Ground (Patiala), and Sports Stadium Madhopur (Fatehgarh Sahib).
All necessary preparations have been finalized to ensure the smooth execution of these shows, which will run in all districts until November 20, he added.
Minister Sond further stated that through these vibrant light and sound presentations, the comprehensive life journey, spiritual teachings, and profound sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur—who defended faith and righteousness—will be powerfully depicted. This initiative aims to enlighten the younger generation about the rich history and teachings of the revered Guru.
The minister encouraged devotees and families to participate in these shows and experience the historic portrayals, which are being organized to honor the Guru’s enduring legacy and teachings.
He also pointed out that the series of events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur began on October 25 at the historic Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib in New Delhi.

Previously, Minister Sond announced that a substantial Tent City is being constructed at Sri Anandpur Sahib to accommodate devotees attending the celebrations. This Tent City will be established at three locations—Agampur, PSPCL Ground Matour, and Jhinjri—to provide suitable lodging for attendees.
The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs is investing approximately Rs 21.52 crore for the development of the Tent City.
The minister mentioned that arrangements are being made to host 10,000 to 12,000 devotees daily, ensuring all essential amenities for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The Tent City will operate from November 19 to November 30, he added.
