Chhagan Bhujbal Criticizes Ajit Pawar Over Exclusion from Maharashtra Cabinet

Nashik, Dec 18 (NationPress) Veteran NCP legislator Chhagan Bhujbal has once again criticized party chief and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar for his exclusion from the Cabinet expansion process, despite significant recommendations from Working President Praful Patel and state unit chief Sunil Tatkare.

He mentioned that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed interest in having him included in the council of ministers, asserting that he may be 'out but definitely not finished'.

Bhujbal declared his intent to travel throughout the nation and within Maharashtra to advocate for the OBC community and protect their interests.

"Regardless of the obstacles, the journey is mine," he asserted.

Frustrated over not securing a ministerial position, Bhujbal indicated to his supporters that he would persist in his advocacy both on the streets and within the state Assembly as a legislator championing the OBC cause.

Many of his supporters gathered in large numbers suggested that Bhujbal should consider joining the BJP. However, Bhujbal affirmed his commitment to fight for the rights of the OBC community while remaining with the NCP.

"I was the first leader to advocate that Marathas should receive separate reservations instead of from the OBC quota. Numerous leaders from the Maratha community approached me, emphasizing that this issue must be addressed. I also conveyed to them that the Maratha reservation matter should be resolved, but not through conflict or aggression," Bhujbal stated.

"None of us are anti-Maratha. It is our responsibility to stand against those who attempt to intimidate us. Incidents such as the burning of MLAs' homes and educational institutions will not be tolerated. That occurred previously, and I was there during that crisis. Both the public and leaders were apprehensive," he further elaborated, referencing the attacks on leaders from both the Maratha and OBC communities amidst protests led by pro-Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange-Patil.
