New Delhi, Nov 14 (NationPress) The outcome of the recent Assembly bye-elections conducted on November 11 showcased a diverse political landscape, with both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing two seats each from the eight contested. Regional parties also managed to maintain their presence and influence in their traditional bastions.
The Congress achieved notable victories in Rajasthan and Telangana.
In Rajasthan’s Anta constituency, Pramod Jain Bhaya triumphed over the BJP’s Morpall Suman by a margin of 15,612 votes, garnering 69,571 votes.
In Telangana’s Jubilee Hills, the Congress reclaimed the seat from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). V. Naveen Yadav, the Congress candidate, overcame Maganti Sunitha of BRS by 24,729 votes, marking the largest victory margin in the history of this constituency.
On the other hand, the BJP celebrated two significant wins in Jammu & Kashmir and Odisha.
In J&K’s Nagrota, BJP candidate Devyani Rana achieved a commanding victory by a margin of 24,647 votes.
In Odisha’s Nuapada, BJP’s Jay Dholakia defeated Congress’s Ghasi Ram Majhi with a staggering margin of 83,748 votes, leaving the Biju Janata Dal in a distant third.

All other candidates forfeited their deposits.
