Patna, Oct 13 (NationPress) Pavan K. Varma, the spokesperson for Jan Suraaj Party, stated on Monday that the Congress party has notably declined under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, asserting that the party's organizational foundation in Bihar has entirely disappeared.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, Varma commented, "Currently, Rahul Gandhi holds the position of Leader of the Opposition at the national level, and I believe that Congress was once a significant party -- I say was -- because it has now diminished. The concept of Congress remains pertinent today, but under his guidance, the party has been persistently eroding at the organizational front, which is indeed regrettable."
While criticizing Rahul Gandhi's political strategy, the Jan Suraaj leader noted, "He resembles a seasonal bird. The core issue is that the Congress party's ground-level organizational strength in Bihar has entirely vanished. His aspirations are far more significant than the party's present status. Consequently, the Mahagathbandhan will inevitably face challenges."
Pointing fingers at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Varma accused it of being a family-centric party.
He stated, "The rhetoric surrounding M-Y, representing Muslim-Yadav unity, is merely a façade. Tejashwi Yadav is the Chief Ministerial candidate solely because he is the son of Lalu Prasad Yadav. He has no genuine concern for either the Yadavs or the Muslims. His brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, whose mental stability has even been questioned, also ascended to a Ministerial role merely due to being Lalu Yadav's son."
Clarifying Jan Suraaj's stance before the Bihar elections, Varma asserted, "We have made it abundantly clear that we will not ally with any party before or after the elections. Jan Suraaj is the only party committed to contesting all 243 seats independently."
Commenting on the recently disclosed NDA seat-sharing alliance, he remarked, "These collaborations are motivated by a thirst for power. Somehow, they have reached a consensus, but the citizens of Bihar can clearly distinguish that this is a struggle for control."
