Congress members and supporters will gather at Rangmahal Chowk at 11 am to join a protest organized by the farmers' faction of the state party, with participation from farmers as well.
Senior Congress figure and former minister, Sajjan Singh Verma, announced that prominent party leaders, including state unit chief Jitu Patwari and newly appointed state in-charge Harish Choudhary, will take part in the demonstration.
Key issues to be highlighted during the protest encompass the demand for a minimum support price (MSP) of Rs. 3,100 per quintal for the paddy crop, increased assistance from the 'PM Kisan Samman' and 'CM Kisan Kalyan' schemes, enforcement of the land acquisition Act, among other concerns.
The Leader of the Opposition, Umang Singhar, also indicated that the Congress would address the matter of disproportionate assets amassed by a former MP Transport Department constable, recently uncovered by the Lokayukta police and other agencies.
Congress leaders have asserted that farmers have not received the promised MSPs as pledged by the BJP during the election period.
State Congress president Jitu Patwari remarked on X, stating, "The Chief Minister and other ministers have made commitments in response to over 2,500 inquiries related to 10 departments in the state assembly throughout the years, which remain unfulfilled."
The two-week assembly session, concluding on March 24, will include nine sittings, according to an official from the assembly secretariat.
In comments to reporters in Indore on Sunday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that the budget would serve as a pivotal point for future development.
He mentioned that a development roadmap has been established as all government departments have operated in alignment with the preferences of the citizens.
