New Delhi, June 2 (NationPress) BJP National Spokesperson Tuhin Sinha on Monday launched a vehement attack on the Congress party for casting doubt on India's 'Operation Sindoor', insinuating that they appear to be seeking advantages for their 'foreign allies'.

In a conversation with IANS, Tuhin Sinha stated, “The consistent questioning by the Congress party regarding our accomplishments in 'Operation Sindoor' suggests they are trying to benefit their friends abroad.

“The Congress keeps repeating: How many losses did we endure? What were our casualties? Prime Minister Modi has already provided a response, and our party has taken this issue seriously. If the Congress desires a more explicit answer, they will need to be patient.”

He asserted, “This is the same Congress that has never acknowledged Pakistan's defeats. On May 10, a list was made public detailing the Pakistani Air Force bases demolished by our military. Yet, did we ever witness the Congress celebrating that triumph?”

He challenged, “The Congress needs to determine whose side they are on. Why are they so keen to know about our losses when the entire world recognizes this as a significant victory for India?”

Sinha also commented on the controversy surrounding comments made by US President Donald Trump, which the Congress has often cited.

“Trump's statements have been inconsistent. India's stance is unequivocal — this was a bilateral discussion confined to the DGMO level, leading to a ceasefire announcement. There is no involvement of any third party. If a third party makes statements that contradict our official position, the Congress should trust its own government and DGMO instead of misleading Indian citizens with irresponsible remarks,” he conveyed to IANS.

Regarding the Congress' request for a special Parliament session, Sinha questioned the urgency.

“Why is the Congress so anxious? The Monsoon Session will commence in less than a month. What necessitates a special session now? Do they intend to use it to make statements that will be headlines in the Pakistani media? Are they aiming to assist their foreign friends with such comments? This is a direct inquiry to Mallikarjun Kharge.”

He added, “All pertinent information concerning the strikes has been shared multiple times. Even Congress leaders like Manish Tewari and Shashi Tharoor have clarified it abroad. Therefore, the Congress should cease misleading the public.”

On the violence in Murshidabad, Sinha remarked, “Numerous pieces of evidence have surfaced indicating that the violence was instigated by Mamata Banerjee’s party. It is appropriate to label it as ‘state-sponsored terrorism’. During the period of the violence, the Waqf law was becoming contentious, and Mamata Banerjee was inciting the Muslim community against it. She even claimed she would obstruct the implementation of anti-terror laws in Bengal. Under what authority does she have the right to impede central legislation in a state? No state possesses this power.”

He further stated, “By making such statements, Mamata Banerjee was indirectly encouraging those involved in the violence. A committee established by the Calcutta High Court has also provided corroborating evidence. Whenever the deployment of BSF in Murshidabad is discussed, Mamata Banerjee openly contests it. One of our party members approached the High Court, leading to BSF deployment under the court's directive.”

Sinha questioned Banerjee’s resistance to central security forces.

“Why does she oppose the BSF? Is it because they are curbing illegal migration from Bangladesh? Her apparent intention to change Bengal’s demographic profile is deeply troubling. Many unanswered questions persist regarding the Murshidabad violence. It is alarming that such incidents, involving Trinamool leaders, have become commonplace in Bengal’s border districts.”

Reacting further to the issue of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, Sinha highlighted recent actions taken following 'Operation Sindoor'.

“In recent weeks, BJP-led states have repatriated thousands of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. Gujarat alone has deported many. Similar actions are progressing in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and even Odisha.”

However, he criticized states governed by the Opposition for their inaction.

“States ruled by the INDIA bloc are actively accommodating illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. The Santhal Pargana division in Jharkhand is severely affected, yet the Hemant Soren government shows no inclination to address it. In fact, illegal immigrants are seizing tribal lands with the state’s assistance,” he claimed.

He cautioned that illegal migration poses a serious threat.

“Following 'Operation Sindoor', elements from Pakistan and Bangladesh may resort to proxy warfare. The presence of illegal migrants within our borders remains a grave national security concern. BJP governments are implementing decisive measures, and we expect the same from Mamata Banerjee, Hemant Soren, and other leaders of the INDIA bloc. This is a national issue. No political compromise can be accepted regarding India’s security,” he concluded.
