New Delhi, April 2 (NationPress) Senior BJP figure Gourav Vallabh on Thursday took a jab at the Congress party, asserting that Kamal Nath, a prominent Congress leader, should "provide lessons" to Rahul Gandhi. This remark came after the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh refuted the party's claims regarding a supposed LPG shortage. Vallabh reacted to Kamal Nath’s comments in Chhindwara, where he stated there is "no LPG scarcity" and that "a narrative is being constructed" to imply otherwise. Vallabh remarked: "Kamal Nath ought to give lessons to Rahul Gandhi. He should conduct tutoring sessions with Kamal Nath from 4 to 5 PM, with Anand Sharma from 5 to 6 on how India's foreign policy is robust, and with Shashi Tharoor from 6 to 7..."

Vallabh underscored what he labeled as discrepancies within the Congress party.

While the Congress has been criticizing both the central and state administrations over alleged shortages of LPG and other petroleum products, Kamal Nath dismissed any notion of a crisis.

The BJP leader went on to state that numerous senior Congress members are now expressing viewpoints that diverge from those of Rahul Gandhi.

Referencing Anand Sharma’s recent statements about the government’s approach to the West Asia situation, Vallabh noted: "Their comments are in stark contrast to Rahul Gandhi's election speeches, where he frequently makes statements that embarrass the country. These former Congress leaders assert that on matters of foreign, economic, cultural, or political policy, India is experiencing its golden era."

Vallabh further criticized Rahul Gandhi’s recent actions in Parliament and his remarks regarding the CAPF Administration Bill.

“Rahul Gandhi appears to lack respect for parliamentary traditions. Now you claim you weren’t afforded an opportunity to speak. During parliamentary sessions, engagement is necessary,” he stated.

In a concluding remark regarding the Congress manifesto for the Assam Assembly elections, Vallabh quipped, “Rahul Gandhi, a manifesto isn’t necessary. The Congress party is on the path to its most significant defeat.”

Kamal Nath’s comments have attracted political scrutiny, especially as the Congress has been leveraging the LPG shortage issue as a campaign strategy in several states.

Political analysts suggest that this incident reveals varying opinions within the party.

Point of View

The ongoing discourse highlights significant ideological rifts within the Congress party. Kamal Nath's recent statements juxtaposed with the party's criticism of the government suggest a lack of unified messaging, which could impact their electoral strategy.
