How Did Emraan Hashmi Assist Deepak Paramesh in Overcoming Language Hurdles on the Sets of ‘Ground Zero’?

Mumbai, May 27 (NationPress) Actor Deepak Paramesh shared his insights on collaborating with Emraan Hashmi in the film "Ground Zero."

Despite the hurdles posed by a language barrier, Deepak expressed how Emraan's encouraging demeanor helped him feel comfortable, facilitating a smoother and more memorable shooting experience. Reflecting on their partnership, Paramesh stated, “Emraan Hashmi is exceptionally grounded and generous as a co-actor. He possesses a deep understanding of his craft yet remains open and collaborative on set. Aware of my language challenges, he ensured I felt at ease during our scenes together. We had some enriching conversations as well. Having grown up watching his movies, it was a dream come true to work with him. Such a wonderful person. I firmly believe that filmmaking is a collective effort. When surrounded by a talented cast and crew, it elevates your performance in the film.”

Deepak also acknowledged the role of director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar in his artistic growth throughout the filming. He remarked, “Tejas sir is an outstanding director. He doesn’t impose; he guides. He allowed me the freedom to explore my character, Binu, while also knowing the right moments to encourage me to push my limits. This balance was instrumental in my development as an actor during this project. He continuously uplifted my confidence. We’ve built a strong rapport! His vision was to create a realistic film, and that’s precisely what he accomplished with Ground Zero.”

Having made his name in the South Indian film industry, Deepak initially felt hesitant to take on a Hindi film role due to the language barrier. He confessed, “Honestly, I wasn’t prepared for Hindi films earlier primarily because of the language issue. However, Ground Zero boosted my confidence. My experiences in Tamil cinema equipped me with the discipline and versatility necessary for this transition. Now, I’m ready for new challenges. I’m attracted to roles that test me emotionally and seem genuine. It’s thrilling to witness Hindi cinema gaining global recognition, paving the way for more authentic characters, and I am proud to be part of that journey.”

Deepak Paramesh made his Hindi film debut with “Ground Zero,” which featured Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. The film centers around BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who led the operation that resulted in the death of terrorist Rana Tahir Nadeem, also known as Ghazi Baba, in 2003.

The film hit theaters on April 25, 2025.
