Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 15 (NationPress) The President of the Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, stated on Sunday that the spread of misinformation by political entities like the Congress and the AAP has led to a misunderstanding regarding the availability of cooking gas, resulting in a surge of panic LPG cylinder bookings.
Sachdeva condemned the protest march organized by the Aam Aadmi Party in the Trilokpuri region of East Delhi, which was held in response to the supposed lack of cooking gas cylinders.
He remarked that this cylinder march is indicative of the petty politics practiced by AAP leaders, noting that such demonstrations foster an environment conducive to black market activities.
The Delhi BJP President elaborated that the ongoing conflict in Iran has caused a ripple effect on the global supply of cooking gas, impacting not only India but also several nations including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and even the United States.
However, he pointed out that no other governments worldwide are facing internal political resistance on this matter.
Sachdeva commented that during the periods of demonetization and the pandemic, leaders from AAP and the Congress had disseminated false information, ranging from currency shortages to oxygen availability issues.
“Nevertheless, the electorate responded by granting the BJP government a second and third term,” he stated.
Similar to the circumstances during demonetization and the COVID crisis, the citizens of the country have confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stand united with him. “AAP leaders will not be able to mislead them,” Sachdeva asserted.
Earlier, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta cautioned that stringent measures would be taken against any individual or organization found guilty of spreading misinformation or rumors regarding the LPG shortage in the city.
She also urged the public to disregard rumors, assuring that there are sufficient fuel supplies to meet the citizens' needs despite the Iranian conflict impacting the global fuel supply chain.
While speaking to reporters at an event, the Chief Minister emphasized that instigating fear among the populace is inappropriate.
“Both the Central and State governments are vigilantly monitoring the situation responsibly, and there is no cause for citizens to panic,” she concluded.
