New Delhi, Feb 13 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized AAP legislator and Delhi’s Caretaker Chief Minister Atishi on Thursday, claiming that her party members are propagating misleading information about a supposed increase in power cuts following the Assembly elections.
Shortly after Atishi’s remarks about a resurgence of power cuts in Delhi post-BJP’s electoral victory, Sachdeva asserted that she is disseminating falsehoods and that, according to his sources, there are no power outages occurring in Delhi.
He emphasized that the entire city is aware that for several years, the Arvind Kejriwal-led administration has been exploiting residents in conjunction with private power distributors.
“We have unveiled the exploitation faced by electricity consumers through power purchase adjustment charges (PPAC) and various other fees. Now, with the BJP government set to assume control, the acting Chief Minister is scheming and employing fear tactics to compel the power discoms into compliance,” he remarked.
Sachdeva pointed out that the only issue is the excessive delay in addressing breakdowns, attributed to the collusion between the acting Chief Minister and the power discoms.
The Delhi BJP President challenged Atishi to specify which areas of Delhi are actually experiencing power interruptions instead of making unfounded claims.
He warned the power discom authorities that if they collaborate with the acting Chief Minister in implementing power cuts or unduly delaying repairs, they should brace themselves for inquiries once the new government takes office.
Earlier, Atishi had associated the exit of AAP from Delhi’s governance with the resurgence of power cuts throughout the city.
She alleged that extensive blackouts have been occurring in numerous regions since the Assembly elections, with many constituents recognizing their error in electing the BJP.
Addressing the press five days after AAP’s exit from power in Delhi after 11 years, Atishi claimed that the BJP lacks the competency to govern.
“From 1993 to 1998, during the BJP’s governance, Delhi’s power sector was in a dire state,” she stated.
The Kalkaji legislator mentioned that the populace is beginning to comprehend the mistake made by voting the BJP into power, asserting that the narrative is similar across all states under BJP rule.
