New Delhi, Feb 14 (NationPress) The President of Delhi BJP, Virendra Sachdeva, submitted a letter to Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena on Friday, denouncing Acting Chief Minister Atishi for allegedly exploiting her authority to facilitate the digital misappropriation of government assets and for misleading the public during a press briefing concerning supposed power outages.

Sachdeva urged the Lieutenant Governor to instruct officials to disregard Atishi’s inappropriate directives.

According to the Delhi BJP leader, following Atishi's accusations against the BJP for causing power interruptions during her press conference, it is crucial to ensure that she refrains from making misleading statements while serving as a caretaker CM.

In his correspondence, Sachdeva highlighted that under Atishi's guidance, officials in the IT department have reportedly transformed the official social media account (X) of the Chief Minister's Office — which was developed using public funds — into a personal account for former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, an act he claims is illegal.

He demanded that the LG direct officials to put an end to this digital misappropriation orchestrated by Acting CM Atishi and restore the posts of the Chief Minister's Office.

Sachdeva asserted that Atishi had claimed power outages were occurring in Delhi, while in reality, there were no such disruptions.

He suggested that the Lieutenant Governor should ask power distribution companies to clarify the true situation, as stated in his letter.

Sachdeva accused Atishi's party members of disseminating falsehoods and creating confusion regarding a supposed increase in power cuts following the Assembly elections.

Earlier on Thursday, Atishi had alleged a resurgence of power cuts in Delhi after the BJP’s victory in the Assembly elections.

The Delhi BJP chief remarked that the entire city is aware that for years, the government led by Arvind Kejriwal, in collusion with private power companies, has been exploiting residents.

“We have revealed the exploitation of electricity consumers through power purchase adjustment charges (PPAC) and other fees. With the BJP government about to take charge, the Acting Chief Minister is resorting to conspiracies and fear tactics to compel discoms into cooperation with her,” he stated.
