BJP Leader Vijayendra Assures LPG Supply Amid Conflict
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Bengaluru, March 11 (NationPress) In light of the ongoing conflict involving Israel, the US, and Iran, BJP state President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra stated on Wednesday that the Central government is actively working to guarantee the availability of LPG cylinders. He attributed the current supply disruptions to the unexpected outbreak of war. Furthermore, he criticized Congress leaders as "foolish" for protesting over this matter at such a critical time.
While addressing reporters near Vidhana Soudha, Vijayendra commented, "The Central government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is implementing essential measures to secure the supply of cooking gas cylinders. The sudden war has led to supply interruptions. Despite being aware of this situation, Congress leaders are protesting in the streets against the Central government. This reveals their intellectual bankruptcy."
He noted that Congress activists began their protests over the LPG cylinder shortage on the evening of March 10.
"They have demonstrated a lack of dignity and shame. This has been proven once more. The conflict between the US and Israel and Iran has been ongoing for the past 12 days, and the media has extensively reported on how the war has impacted global crude oil and gas supplies," he added.
"In our nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking special precautions in this regard. While there are restrictions on commercial LPG cylinders, the Congress party continues to protest on the streets, fully aware that measures are being implemented to protect consumers from adverse effects. This indicates their inability to think critically," he elaborated.
Regarding the state Budget, he remarked that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had recently announced a record-breaking Budget of Rs 4.48 lakh crore but questioned the state’s financial health.
"The condition of the state has deteriorated to the point where police salaries have not been disbursed in Shivamogga, Karwar, and Hubballi-Dharwad districts. The state government is unable to provide even the February salaries. Is there any clearer indication that the state is heading towards bankruptcy?" he questioned.
"Police personnel have still not received their February salaries, even though it is already March 11. The state is indeed bankrupt," he reiterated.
Vijayendra pointed out that Siddaramaiah had a prime opportunity while presenting the record Budget but failed to capitalize on it. "He had a golden opportunity, yet he let it slip away," he stated.
"I would like to inform the Congress leaders that the US and Israel, which initiated the war, did not notify Prime Minister Narendra Modi or any neighboring countries in advance. The war's outbreak was unexpected, resulting in these issues. Congress leaders seem to lack even this basic understanding," he asserted, emphasizing their lack of common sense.
Vijayendra expressed optimism that the LPG supply challenges would be addressed shortly. "The Central government is evaluating the war's implications. The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi possesses the capacity to resolve such issues," he concluded.
