New Delhi, March 11 (NationPress) Bihar BJP State President Sanjay Saraogi stated on Wednesday that the central government is actively working to ensure that citizens do not encounter hardships due to interruptions in gas supplies stemming from the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region.
“The ongoing war in the Gulf region, involving nations such as Iran, the United States, and Israel, has disrupted gas supplies. However, the Government of India is committed to ensuring that the populace remains unaffected,” Saraogi informed IANS.
He further mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed ministers to guarantee that ordinary citizens do not suffer as a result of the war. “The Prime Minister emphasized to Cabinet ministers yesterday that the common man should not bear the brunt of the ongoing conflict. The government is also contemplating invoking the Essential Commodities Act to curb the black market for gas,” he noted.
Additionally, Saraogi revealed that a committee comprising the nation’s three leading oil and gas companies has been established to boost the production of LPG cylinders. He mentioned that state governments are also implementing strategies to avert any shortages and to secure a steady supply for consumers.
