Nadia, Nov 16 (NationPress) A resident of West Bengal, currently incarcerated in Presidency Jail, is undergoing interrogation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) regarding the Delhi car explosion incident, as reported on Sunday. Sabir Ahmed, hailing from Palashipara's Bara Naldaha in Nadia district, is detained under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
As per sources, security personnel, following directives from both state and central authorities, have been persistently questioning Ahmed within the jail premises.
In addition, his sibling, Faisal Ahmed, was apprehended by the Special Task Force for questioning related to the terror network on Thursday evening.
Authorities have escalated their investigation into the terror network after the fatal attack near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, which resulted in at least 12 fatalities and numerous injuries on November 10.
Previously, investigators discovered that the driver of the Hyundai i20 vehicle that detonated near the metro station had received Rs 20 lakh via illegal financial means.
