New Delhi, Sep 22 (NationPress) - Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta responded strongly on Monday against former Chief Minister and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of disseminating a “manipulated” video of her interview. She asserted that such personal attacks aimed at damaging her reputation will not deter her commitment to serving the citizens of Delhi.

“I am the daughter of Delhi, and with the blessings of Maa Durga, I fear no one. I want to make it clear that no force can prevent me from dedicating my efforts to the people, 24/7, 365 days a year,” stated CM Gupta, suggesting that Kejriwal should refrain from wasting time on watching edited videos about her.

“My advice to Kejriwal is to engage in something productive. He would do well to focus on the hardships faced by flood-affected individuals in Punjab and take action to assist them,” she emphasized, delivering a powerful message regarding Kejriwal's alleged attempts to “undermine her and diminish” the achievements of the Delhi government in the past seven months.

This outburst from the Delhi CM occurred during an event marking the groundbreaking for a new multi-storey Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus depot in Hari Nagar, located in West Delhi.

While addressing the attendees, CM Gupta also criticized the previous administration led by Kejriwal for neglecting the DTC's financial difficulties, which have pushed the public transport entity into a staggering loss of approximately Rs 65,000 crore—equivalent to the annual budget of Delhi.

Previously, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva targeted Kejriwal for allegedly sharing an edited clip from CM Gupta's TV interview, intending to spark a political controversy.

Sachdeva claimed that Kejriwal had posted a “doctored” video of an interview, which misrepresents CM Gupta as suggesting that “the BJP is doing what Congress did for 60/70 years”.

Upon reviewing the full interview, Sachdeva clarified that CM Gupta had actually remarked on the surprising nature of the opposition's allegations of rigging when the BJP began to win elections, contrasting it with the Congress's uninterrupted victories over the past 60/70 years.

Sachdeva expressed disappointment that Kejriwal, a former Chief Minister himself, would resort to promoting a manipulated video to tarnish CM Gupta's image for political gain.

He added that Kejriwal's concern stems from the fact that the performance of the relatively new Rekha Gupta government has eclipsed his decade-long administration, leaving him desperate to attack the CM and the BJP's governance in Delhi.
