New Delhi, July 16 (NationPress) Four educational institutions in Delhi were targeted with bomb threat emails on Wednesday morning, continuing a disturbing trend for the third day in a row that has caused significant disruptions within schools throughout the national capital.
The Delhi Police reported that, as of now, no suspicious items have been identified at any of the affected locations, although investigations are ongoing.
Upon receiving the alerts, emergency response teams quickly mobilized to St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School in Vasant Kunj, Richmond Global School in Paschim Vihar, and Mother International School in Hauz Khas.
The Delhi Fire Department, bomb disposal units, dog squads, and police personnel were swiftly deployed to these sites.
Officials from the fire department confirmed they received distress calls from the four schools between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., prompting full-scale evacuation procedures for students and staff.
All four institutions were rapidly cleared as a precaution, even as bomb disposal teams conducted thorough examinations of the premises.
According to the police, nothing suspicious has been found in any of the schools, and search operations continue to ensure total safety.
This incident follows a similar wave of threats on Tuesday, when St. Stephen's College at Delhi University and St. Thomas School in Dwarka were also targeted with bomb threat emails.
Both institutions underwent evacuations and inspections by the Delhi Police Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad, Fire Brigade, and Special Staff. After extensive investigations, no explosives were found, and the threats were deemed hoaxes.
The police confirmed that these threats originated via email, and they are working to trace the source of these communications.
On Monday, three schools also received similar bomb threats. CRPF School in Prashant Vihar, CRPF School in Dwarka Sector 16, and another school in Chanakyapuri were all targeted through emails.
In each case, bomb squads were dispatched, buildings evacuated, and thorough searches conducted, with all alerts ultimately proven to be false.
The Delhi Police are intensifying their efforts to identify the individuals responsible for these threats.
