Hubballi (Karnataka), Oct 23 (NationPress) Responding to the persistent and harsh criticisms from Minister for RDPR, IT, and BT Priyank Kharge directed at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Karnataka BJP leader B. Sriramulu asserted on Thursday that a strategy has been devised in Delhi to elevate Priyank to the position of Deputy Chief Minister as a reward for his attacks on the RSS.
During his address in Hubballi, Sriramulu described the state government’s alleged efforts to suppress RSS activities and suggested that Priyank Kharge is “envisioning himself as the Deputy Chief Minister.”
“This initiative has been orchestrated under the guidance of AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge. Priyank Kharge is set to become the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, while Siddaramaiah will retain his role as Chief Minister. This has already been outlined in Delhi, which is why Priyank is fantasizing about the Dy CM position,” Sriramulu claimed.
He further accused the Congress party of engaging in “politics of animosity” regarding the RSS issue. “Anyone is free to join the RSS. Despite a central gazette being enacted on this matter, the Congress continues to engage in political maneuvering,” he alleged.
Sriramulu also criticized the Karnataka government for having effectively “declared an emergency” in the state. “In 1975, the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed an Emergency. Anyone who opposed the Congress was imprisoned,” he noted.
“Today, in 2025, the Congress-led government in Karnataka is operating in a similar fashion. They praise those who chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ but ignore those who shout ‘Pakistan Zindabad,’ even rewarding such individuals with Rajya Sabha positions,” he charged.
He further alleged that there has been a lack of development in Karnataka. “Heavy rains have hit the state, yet Bengaluru's roads are riddled with potholes. No action has been taken to address this issue,” he stated.
“Numerous IT leaders, including the founder of Infosys, have raised concerns about the deteriorating road conditions. The government has failed to act, leading industries to relocate from the state,” he alleged.
“They are incapable of governance and are mired in vendetta politics,” he asserted.
“Reports of rape are increasing daily in the state. Young women are afraid to attend college. Incidents of chain snatching, robberies, and murders are escalating — it’s a complete governance failure,” Sriramulu alleged.
He also criticized the Karnataka Home Minister, stating, “He is not taking these incidents seriously and dismisses them lightly.”
