Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, March 10 (NationPress) Disha Jha, the daughter of acclaimed filmmaker Prakash Jha, reminisced about an unforgettable moment when she witnessed her father's commanding presence on a film set.
In an interview with IANS at her father’s office located in Andheri, Mumbai, Disha revealed that it was during the production of the political drama ‘Raajneeti’ that she saw her father expertly managing a crew of 10,000 individuals.
Disha made her cinematic debut as a costume assistant in ‘Raajneeti’, directed by her father. Reflecting on her experiences from the film, she noted, “During my time on the set of ‘Raajneeti’, I was a costume assistant and not in the spotlight, which made it my first film experience. There were numerous new aspects to adapt to on set. It was an amazing experience, as I had never seen him in such a commanding role before; I was in school during the filming of ‘Gangaajal’.”
She continued, “There were about 10,000 crew members, and everyone listened to him attentively. If he instructed them to ‘sit’, they would immediately comply. That was the moment I thought, ‘oh my God’. It was truly impressive.”
Disha also shared insights about her upbringing under her father's guidance, describing her journey as progressively positive due to his cinematic expertise and clarity of vision.
“He supports me at every step, giving me a safety net. It reduces my anxiety, but I am aware that the real world can be intimidating,” she added.
“There are moments of doubt, like worrying about making mistakes, but having a clear vision of what you want to create makes the process smoother,” she concluded.
