Mumbai, March 19 (NationPress) Renowned Bollywood actress Divya Dutta recently took a moment to reminisce about her impressive 30-year journey in the film industry and the overwhelming affection she has garnered from fans through her standout performances.

The talented actress has graced the screen in several blockbuster films such as Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat, Delhi 6, and Veer-Zaara, among many critically acclaimed titles. In an exclusive interview with IANS, she discussed how significant roles and audience support have greatly influenced her career.

Reflecting on her path, Divya shared, “I feel the appreciation from the audience deeply. I believe films like Veer-Zaara, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and Stanley Ka Dabba have contributed to that love.”

She emphasized, “The affection I’ve received for these films has been immense, as they hold a special place in my heart.”

Divya further noted that she selectively chooses projects that fulfill her passion. “I only engage in work that brings me joy. It's about which project resonates with me the most. I prefer being part of a set where I can smile, laugh, and feel supported by my peers, who encourage my growth,” she explained.

After spending over three decades in the industry, Divya reflected on the profound emotional bond she has developed with her audience.

“Having been in the industry for 30 years, I feel I have earned the love of the people. Wherever I go, fans embrace me as one of their own, saying, ‘Yeh hamaari hai.’ This recognition is perhaps the greatest reward for any actor. My journey has been about self-discovery, staying on my toes, and resisting complacency,” she remarked.

“If you confine yourself to a comfort zone and limit your roles, where's the excitement? It’s thrilling to challenge both yourself and your audience,” she added.

Divya articulated her philosophy on life and work, stating, “Life resembles an ECG report, full of ups and downs. This is how it should be—living, enjoying, and embracing every moment with the people we encounter and the work we do.”

“For me, the key is that when you hear about a role, you should feel an exhilarating rush. It should make you want to leap with joy and anticipate the shoot eagerly. That spark of nervous energy and excitement is crucial,” she concluded.

Starting her journey with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, the actress has become well-known for her impactful roles in films such as Delhi-6, Veer-Zaara, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Divya is set to appear in the upcoming web series Chiraiyaa, directed by Shashant Shah. This series tackles the sensitive subject of marital rape and is scheduled to stream on JioHotstar starting March 20.
