Mumbai, March 22 (NationPress) Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan stated on Saturday that the principles of unity and integration advocated by RSS Founder Dr. K.B. Hedgewar are more pertinent today than ever, particularly in light of the active secessionist forces in certain states.

The Governor made these remarks during the launch of the book 'Hedgewar (Founder of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) - A Definitive Biography' by British Indian author Sachin Nandha at Raj Bhavan.

He praised Dr. Sachin Nandha for his meticulously researched biography of Dr. Hedgewar, noting that the RSS, established by Dr. Hedgewar over a century ago, has grown into the largest nationalist organization worldwide.

The Governor emphasized that the RSS has cultivated countless patriots throughout its enduring history, who dedicated their lives selflessly for the nation. He reminisced about his experiences with the RSS and underscored its contributions in Tamil Nadu, particularly in Tirupur.

Addressing claims that India was never a homogeneous nation historically, the Governor remarked that Samrat Ashok successfully unified the Indian subcontinent centuries ago. He asserted that culturally and traditionally, India has always been a singular entity. The message of unity is therefore increasingly significant, he concluded.

Author Sachin Nandha expressed that in the future, Dr. Hedgewar will be recognized as an international symbol. He mentioned that his book provides valuable insights into the motivations and philosophy of Dr. Hedgewar, which could be referred to as 'Hedgewarism'.
