Kolkata, Oct 13 (NationPress) The father of the second-year medical student stated on Monday that he intends to take his daughter back to Odisha once she provides her testimony before a judicial magistrate.

The victim's father also met with the West Bengal Leader of the Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, on Monday afternoon.

Adhikari informed the victim's father that he would facilitate transportation for the victim. A video featuring their conversation was shared on Adhikari's official Facebook page.

In the video, Adhikari first checked on the victim's health. The father noted that his daughter was in a more stable condition than previously. The BJP leader recommended that if enhanced medical care is necessary, the victim should be taken to Odisha. The father confirmed his plan to return to Odisha after the victim records her testimony under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
