New Delhi, June 23 (NationPress) As India continues its mission to return nationals from Iran via 'Operation Sindhu', evacuees expressed profound appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union government for their swift and effective actions to assist Indians stranded in the conflict-ridden nation.
Sharing their harrowing experiences, one evacuee recounted to IANS, “I was safely returned from Iran. We faced grave challenges. I am grateful to PM Modi for ensuring our safe passage.”
Another evacuee from Lucknow, who had spent 22 days in Iran, remarked, “When Israel initiated attacks on Iran, the Indian Embassy maintained constant communication with us. They prioritized our safety and provided food and medicine. Our gratitude is immense. Jai Modi!”
Reflecting on the dire circumstances, a young student stated, “The situation was extremely precarious, but the Indian Embassy was fully supportive. We encountered no issues, and the arrangements for our repatriation were superb.”
Another returnee emphasized, “There’s nothing greater than our India. Our PM Modi is truly remarkable.”
An evacuee recounted, “The environment in Iran was terrifying due to relentless bombardments. Nevertheless, the Indian government made exceptional arrangements. PM Modi looked after all of us.”
Another praised the flawless coordination, saying, “The government executed a fantastic operation, from picking us up in Iran to ensuring our safe return. The Indian Embassy was in constant contact. I am profoundly grateful.”
On Monday, an additional group of 285 Indian nationals safely arrived in New Delhi under the ongoing 'Operation Sindhu', raising the total number of evacuees to 1,713.
This extensive evacuation initiative is a response to the intensifying conflict in the Middle East, particularly between Iran and Israel. The latest flight included passengers from diverse states such as Delhi, Bihar, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Jammu and Kashmir.
