Mumbai, March 22 (NationPress) Bollywood's versatile talent Farhan Akhtar, whose latest project ‘Superboys of Malegaon’ is receiving significant acclaim, has expressed his sorrow over the passing of the legendary American boxer George Foreman.

On Saturday, Farhan took to his Instagram account to share a photograph of George. In the caption, he wrote a heartfelt message, paying tribute to the boxing legend.

He stated, “RIP George Foreman. Former heavyweight champion of the world. Often regarded as one of the most fearsome punchers in boxing history. Beyond his remarkable boxing skills and record, what truly stands out is how he rebuilt his life after suffering a major defeat in the event famously known as ‘the rumble in the jungle’. His capacity to move forward with love, grace, humility, and a resolve not to let his life be overshadowed by his lowest point is what establishes him as a truly great champion.”

George Foreman was a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist.

Ahead of this, Farhan attended the inauguration of a helpline aimed at supporting victims of cyberbullying and sextortion in Mumbai. The actor addressed the media during the event and praised the initiative. He emphasized that in cases of sextortion, victims should acknowledge their mistakes, if any, and seek assistance to navigate their circumstances.

He mentioned, “Children growing up may harm themselves due to feelings of shame or unfortunate incidents. Therefore, ‘Brush of Hope’ is an excellent initiative. We are here to support it and hope to raise awareness through our efforts.”

When questioned about tackling this issue effectively, the actor highlighted that it fundamentally revolves around feelings of shame.

He remarked, “Everyone tends to believe that their actions are wrong. If you think you’ve made a mistake, the first step is to take responsibility for it and talk to those who can assist you.”

“I find it very encouraging to see the structure that Maharashtra Cyber has established and the helpline created by Brush for Hope. I am delighted that such resources are available to help individuals of all ages,” he added.
