Mumbai, Nov 11 (NationPress) US-based Federal Card Services (FCS) has officially entered the Indian market with a substantial investment of $250 million targeting its three primary business sectors: technology, real estate, and services.
As part of this strategic expansion, the global frontrunner in premium metal and eco-friendly payment cards is setting up its inaugural manufacturing facility in Pune.
This new plant will manufacture 100 percent metal cards and biodegradable cards, representing a significant advancement in India's expanding fintech manufacturing landscape.
FCS aims to enhance India's fintech supply chain and generate over 1,000 direct jobs, integrating eco-friendly manufacturing practices that align with India's ‘Make in India’ initiative and vision for green growth.
With the first phase of the 32,000 sq ft facility completed, FCS is now concentrating on equipment calibration and workforce training in preparation for operations to begin in February 2026. Initially, the facility will have a production capacity of 2 million cards per year, eventually scaling up to 26.7 million cards annually.
