Bratislava, April 5 (NationPress) Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has urged the European Union (EU) to re-establish conversation with Russia and lift restrictions on Russian energy resources, following a telephone discussion with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, as reported by local media STVR.

"The EU, particularly the European Commission (EC), must promptly initiate dialogue with Russia and create an appropriate political and legal framework that allows member states, including the EU, to replenish their depleted gas and oil supplies, facilitating the import of these critical resources from all available avenues, including Russia," Fico stated in a social media update on Saturday (local time).
