Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, April 17 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Ar Gandhi Krishna, celebrated for his successful films like 'Chellame' featuring Vishal and 'Ananda Thandavam' starring Tamannaah, reveals that his forthcoming movie 'Breakfast' is drawn from a real-life incident he observed involving a friend.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, the esteemed director shared, "The storyline of this film is inspired by a situation that unfolded in the life of my friend, who entered into a love marriage. My friend and his spouse were profoundly in love prior to tying the knot. They enjoyed two blissful years of marriage, with everything appearing to be ideal and harmonious."
He elaborated, "One day, they decided to visit a hospital to confirm if she was expecting. During their journey, they passed a government school, and my friend jokingly mentioned that they would enroll their future child there. His wife didn’t find this amusing, leading to a disagreement. Following the hospital’s announcement that she wasn’t pregnant, their earlier argument about the school escalated into a full-blown confrontation. This ultimately led them to the courtroom, resulting in their separation."
Gandhi Krishna reflected, "This made me ponder how the current generation is prone to ending relationships over minor disagreements. This reflection inspired the concept behind 'Breakfast.'"
The film will focus on two couples, portrayed by Raanav and Rosmin, alongside Krithik Mohan and Amitha Ranganath. The musical score is composed by G V Prakash, and it will feature notable actors Kasthuri and Archana in significant roles.
Produced by Girija Varadaraj, the film showcases cinematography by M V Paneer Selvam and editing by S Bhaaskar & Sujith. The art direction is managed by R K Nagu, while Sridhar has choreographed the stunts. 'Breakfast' is set to release in theaters on April 24 this year.
