“On March 23, Rahul Gandhi will be in Gujarat and will participate in a program in Vadodara. The Sammelan is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and we anticipate a large turnout,” he informed IANS.
Sources reveal that GPCC president Amit Chavda will unveil the detailed itinerary at a press conference tomorrow.
Additionally, Gandhi is expected to convene with the state party’s core leadership to assess the preparations for the upcoming local body elections and by-elections.
This visit follows the Congress's establishment of several state-level committees aimed at refining its election strategy in Gujarat.
These committees are responsible for strategy development, campaign management, election operations, manifesto preparation, and media outreach.
Bharatsinh Solanki, a senior Congress leader, has been appointed as the chairman of the strategy committee, while Shaktisinh Gohil, a Rajya Sabha MP, will lead the campaign committee.
Senior leader Siddharth Patel has been designated as the chairman of the election management committee.
A party representative stated that these committees will coordinate campaign planning and oversee election management across local bodies in the state.
For the past year, Gandhi has focused on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state, making multiple visits as part of an organizational reform initiative.
