London, Sep 30 (NationPress) A number of global leaders expressed their approval on Tuesday for President Donald Trump's initiative aimed at resolving the Gaza conflict, facilitating the release of hostages, and delivering critical humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

This response followed Trump's formal unveiling of his 20-point peace plan intended to conclude the Israel-Hamas conflict during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday (Washington time).

Expressing support for the US initiative, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated, "We urge all parties to unite and collaborate with the US Administration to finalize this agreement and bring it to fruition. Hamas must now accept the plan, cease hostilities, and release all remaining hostages."

He further noted, "Alongside our partners, we will continue our efforts to forge consensus on establishing a permanent ceasefire. We are all dedicated to a collaborative approach to ending the war in Gaza and achieving sustainable peace, allowing Palestinians and Israelis to coexist in safety and security."

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed optimism that Israel would earnestly engage with the plan, emphasizing that Hamas must promptly release all hostages and comply with the proposal.

In a post on X, Macron remarked, "These components should set the stage for thorough discussions with all pertinent partners to create enduring peace in the region, grounded in the two-state solution and the principles supported by 142 UN member states, initiated by France and Saudi Arabia. France is prepared to contribute and will remain vigilant regarding the commitments of all parties involved."

Australia affirmed the plan's commitment to excluding Hamas from any future governance in Gaza, urging Hamas to accept the plan, disarm, and free all remaining hostages.

"We commend the plan's emphasis on Palestinian self-determination and statehood, and the restoration of effective control of Gaza to the Palestinian Authority. President Trump's proposal explicitly rejects any annexation or forced displacement of Palestinians," stated Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Additionally, in a Joint Statement, the Foreign Ministers of Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt commended Trump's efforts aimed at concluding the conflict in Gaza.

"The ministers reaffirm their willingness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and the involved parties to finalize the agreement and ensure its implementation in a manner that guarantees peace, security, and stability for the region's inhabitants," the joint statement concluded.
